Business Development Associate
The business development associate’s primary responsibility will be to identify new prospective customers, qualify leads, set appointments, and subsequently grow and maintain those relationships. We are looking for a passionate sales professional who loves winning.  Daily activities range from sales calls, presentations, and capability assessments to project problem-solving and troubleshooting to networking at industry events and lunches with clients.

We are experiencing and expecting further significant growth in the coming years, and we are looking for like-minded and driven people to grow with us. Our customers range from large Fortune 500 companies to small entrepreneurial start-ups. Still, all share the desire for excellent customer service, proactive communication, consultative problem solving, and most importantly, integrity and honesty.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with new client acquisition strategies and current client retention and upselling programs.
  • Qualify new companies to find those who fit our “ideal client profile.”
  • Engage with those companies – calling, emailing, social media, and in-person to establish a connection.
  • Set meetings with prospects & engage management as needed.
  • Ask questions and seek to understand the needs of the prospective client. Be curious.
  • Espouse CW’s product offerings’ virtues by demonstrating an understanding of the compensation industry, the client’s specific needs, and how CW can best service those needs.
  • Achieve a predetermined sales quota by creating a new client portfolio.
  • Maintain client relationships via close attention to detail, customer care, and establishing good working relationships internally.
  • Respond promptly to customer & prospect inquiries as well as internal staff requests.
  • Manage challenges/issues with strategic, swift, applicable, and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Develop project plans and timelines, calculate pricing, and determine project feasibility.
  • Manage customers post-sale throughout the survey process.
  • Record all activity in CRM.

Education, Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years sales experience preferred
  • Confident in engaging in compensation, human resources, and business conversations with executives
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • High energy and proactive. Self-starter. Entrepreneurial spirit and mindset a must
  • Ability to attend and support key trade shows and events
